Breath as a stress buster

Navy SEALs use breath to stay calm in tough situations. The technique called ‘box breathing’ is explained in this article.

A similar technique is used by elite athletes and helps activate your sympathetic (the one to make you ready for fight or flight) or parasympathetic (the one to calm you) nervous systems.
