In this article a parent looks at the difficulties that the present society (with the perspective of US) faces due to increasing costs of childcare, pressure to pursue ‘paying’ jobs, etc..

The question posed here is..

Is (or has?) the essence of family structure and social fabric which was designed to help young parents broken down?

And in societies such as India where the values of living with grandparents still exists, what should we do to preserve it.
